SALUSBENCH enables hospitals to improve performance without sharing sensitive information.

Galician technology innovation company Inverbis has introduced SALUSBENCH, a solution designed to optimize the efficiency in hospitals, laboratories, and care centers through comparative process analysis, without exposing sensitive information. Aligned with the European data spaces strategy, this tool will be initially implemented in the multisector demonstrator hosted by CESGA (Centro de Supercomputación de Galicia), positioning Galicia as a leader in advanced digital healthcare.
SALUSBENCH allows healthcare centers to continuously and objectively evaluate their clinical and organizational performance. By applying artificial intelligence and process mining techniques, it transforms real-world records into clear metrics, helping identify bottlenecks, protocol breaches, and improvement opportunities in real time, within an ethical, interoperable, and secure environment.
The solution uses international health data standards and applies robust governance mechanisms to ensure data sovereignty. This allows institutions to benchmark their results with peer organizations without compromising the identity of the patient or the institution. Key indicators—such as time from diagnosis to treatment, duration of clinical activities, task repetition, protocol compliance, or waiting times in emergency rooms and operating theaters—can be safely and automatically analyzed and compared.
The launch of SALUSBENCH in the DATAlife demonstrator hosted by CESGA is the first step, with the aim of connecting to other European data spaces in the future. The modular, subscription-based service includes compensation models for organizations that contribute data and can be extended to other care areas, such as elderly care facilities.
SALUSBENCH adheres to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and complies with European data protection regulations (GDPR), reinforcing a commitment to ethical digitalization and sustainability. Inverbis also implements equality policies and low environmental impact technologies across all operations.
